Noah’s three grade As secure his university place to study law
Former JWC student Noah Wilson has achieved the A-level grades he needed to go to Nottingham University and study law this September.
Noah, who is 18 and from Alvaston, secured As in Criminology, Law, and Psychology. He also enhanced his A-levels with an EPQ.
Noah said: “I decided to go down the traditional route of A-levels as it’s what I needed to do to study law at a top university.
“I’m not sure in which area of law I’d like to specialise but possibly employment.
“I was interested in law before I started college but I felt an even greater connection to the subject as I continued to study it and took part in different class activities.
“My interest in employment law is partially down to me starting a job.
“We did a mock employment case as part of our course, and now I’m working part-time myself, it’s heightened my interest in that area of law.”
Noah also found he enjoyed the independence college provided as compared to his years at school.
He said: “It was great to have the freedom to walk around the campus and go into town.
“The teachers at JWC are good – they’re very caring and supportive – and I enjoyed the course content.”
