A-level student Jacob is off to University College London (UCL) to study for a degree in French and Spanish having got the grades he needed.
Jacob got A* grades in his French and Spanish A-levels and a B in English Language.
A former pupil of Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, he is considering becoming an interpreter.
He said: “I’ve always liked languages. I just have a flair for learning them. I had been hoping for an A in English Language but I have two A*s in the other subjects.
“I’ve done better than I’d expected and I’ve got the grades I need to get into UCL.”
