Melissa Rudd, Higher Education Teacher in Equine Science at DCG, said of the event: “We are so excited to be staging this and it’s set to be a great day.

“There really is so much to enjoy for everyone from finding out about degree courses and equine careers to just browsing the stalls. And the students have done a really outstanding job in pulling it all together.”

Any donations will go to the Blue Cross animal welfare charity.

The charity provides veterinary care, offers expert behavioural help, and finds homes for pets in need. Their pet bereavement service supports those who are struggling to cope with the loss of a much-loved pet.
