The one-year course will run alongside their level 3 Film Studies course and enables students to work with industry professionals in a series of evening and weekend masterclasses to develop their practical knowledge and skills across all roles in the film industry.
They will also work together to make a short film which will be premiered at a special gala screening at QUAD.
DCG Team Manager Sally Archer explained: “We piloted this programme last year and are delighted that further students will benefit from this incredible opportunity this year.
“As well as broadening their skills in a wide range of industry roles, they have the chance to achieve a Silver Arts Award and, upon completion, will also become members of the coveted BFI Film Academy alumni with access to such events as BAFTA career talks, training masterclasses, paid traineeship placements at Pinewood Studios and jobs and exclusive residential programmes.”
