In this module you will explore:

The EIF and importance of learning sciences. This theme will explore the role of learning sciences and evaluate we will the place they hold in further education today.

Retrieval based practice. What is retrieval-based practice? Let’s share the various forms it takes and analyse importance of it for recall of course content and getting students ready for assessments and examinations.

Cognitive load. Can we give our students too much knowledge? Power point is one of our most used tools, however, can also be detrimental as too much information is not easy to retain.

Sequencing. To develop and learn fully links to both previous learning and future learning must be embedded effectively. How can we plan sessions to fully embed good sequencing?
