Who is this course for?
You will learn different floristry techniques for creating designs with a natural mechanic, alternative solutions instead of using oasis foam. Looking forwards into the future, there is a need to find alternatives to make designs more sustainable and environmentally friendly. The course will be mainly practically based but will include some theory to consolidate your learning of the subject. This course is aimed at learners wishing to have an introduction into the construction and techniques of creating more sustainable designs suitable for various occasions.

There are no formal entry requirements.
What will you learn?
The course will cover:
- Exploring different mechanics to place fresh materials into.
- Construction methods and design
- Identification and care of materials
- Evaluating the different methods and commercial viability
How will you learn?
The course is delivered on-site at Broomfield Hall.
What will you need to bring with you?
You will be required to supply your own:
- Flowers, Foliage and some sundry items
- Writing materials
- Scissors
- Apron
- Secateurs
How will you be assessed?
There are no formal assessments to complete however a production of a portfolio (photographs and notes) to document your progression and development of the subject is mandatory.
