Course Information for Students

The qualification is aimed at those who use handheld leaf blowers and vacuums as part of their work, either in horticulture, arboriculture or forestry.

The minimum age limit for candidates is 16 years.

This course will cover:

  • The use of leaf blowers and vacuums
  • Pre-use checks and maintenance
  • Identification of controls and instruments
  • Operating the machine to blow or collect vast amounts of leaves to the capacity of the machine

This course will be delivered on-site. 

You will be required to supply your own:

  • Steel toe-capped boots
  • Non-snag clothing
  • Writing materials
  • Lunch (there will be facilities available on-site if you wish to purchase your lunch here)

You will complete a practical test with one-to-one verbal questioning at the end of your training.
