This Level 5 apprenticeship programme covers a range of topics related to health and social care leadership such as statutory frameworks, codes of practice, and the systems and processes needed to ensure compliance with regulations.

Who is this course for?
This apprenticeship is ideal for anyone seeking progression in a management role within a care home.
Entry Requirements
You must be aged at least 19 and be working in a managerial role. You need GCSEs graded 4 or above and must undertake a DBS check.

This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in adult health and social care provisions or in children and young people’s services. It has five pathways and covers a wide range of topics including:
- Safeguarding and protection
- Managing care services, change programmes and recruitment
- Supporting development and partnership working
- Quality systems and improvement
- Developing and carrying out policy
- Promoting and developing best practice
- Care management
- Functional Maths and English (unless exempt)
How will you learn?
You will learn in the workplace with support from your assessor and your organisation.
The course does demand a degree of independent study.

You need a laptop.

Apprenticeships are free to the apprentice but a cost of 5% is to be obtained from the employer.

Are they any entry requirements for my apprentice?
The apprentice must be aged at least 19 and working in a managerial role. They should have GCSEs graded 4/C or above and must undertake a DBS check.

- Completing reviews with signatures in a timely fashion
- Communication with the assessor regarding the apprentice
