External Walling Installation (EWI) systems and silicone-based render: an introduction to EWI and spray rendering (Level 1)
This two-day course is designed for those who are experienced in applying rendering to an external wall and will take you through the stages of installing EWI and silicone-based render.

Who is this course for?
This course is designed for existing plasterers and renderers.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course, though it is advisable to either be experienced in applying plaster and render or to hold a qualification in the plastering trades.
What will you learn?
The training will start with a short theory session on system, cold spot awareness, PPE and render systems. This will be followed by practical tasks covering:
Understanding external insulation
Using external wall insulation

How will you learn?
This is a skills-based course which will be taught within a workshop environment in the form of a practical.
Some elements that cannot be covered in a workshop setting will be undertaken within one of our classrooms.
What will you need to bring with you?
You need clothing that is appropriate for working in construction, safety footwear, safety glasses, safety gloves and writing materials.
How will you be assessed?
Work will be monitored and assessed throughout each day and a finished product will be assessed, with feedback given. A short test will be administered to check on knowledge retention.
