You should have a keen interest in garden design and landscape construction.

What will you learn?
This course will be delivered from 18 – 21 November 2024 inclusive.
You will cover:
- Conducting a site survey and site analysis
- Drawing up a plan to scale
- Brief introduction to design principles
- Marking out a garden
- Brickwork/dry stone walling
- Block paving/paving
How will you learn?
The course will be delivered on site at Broomfield Hall.
What will you need to bring with you?
You will be required to supply your own:
- Steel toe-capped boots/wellingtons
- Overalls
- Secateurs
- Wet weather clothing
- Writing materials
How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed throughout the duration of the course.
Where next?
After the course, students can take the RHS Level 2 in Garden Planning and RHS Theory. They could also consider the Level 3 Practical Certificate in Horticulture.
