Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at existing A-level students who are not able to carry on with their subject into Year 2 but who need a science component in their portfolio.
Entry Requirements
You should already be part of the College. Your GCSE Science needs to be at grade 4,4.
What will you learn?
Unit 1: Principles and Applications of Science 1
Unit 2: Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques
How will you learn?
You will learn on-site, with many practical sessions in our labs.
What will you need to bring with you?
You need the usual stationery, with a calculator.
How will you be assessed?
Unit 1: Principles and Applications of Science 1 – external exam
Unit 2: Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques – internally assessed
Where next?
You could progress to Science-based degrees or take a third A-level equivalent.
