The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with an understanding of nutrition, including the function of food, the relationship between food and health, the importance of a balanced diet, the principles of weight control and how to promote healthy eating.

Who is this course for?
The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with an understanding of nutrition, including the function of food, the relationship between food and health, the importance of a balanced diet, the principles of weight control and how to promote healthy eating.
Courses run for ten weeks and are scheduled to be delivered ONLINE on:
EA Tuesday: 14/09/23 – 19/10/23
EB Friday: 10/11/23 – 15/12/23
EC Thursday: 11/01/24 – 15/02/24
ED Monday: 11/03/24 – 29/04/24
The course costs £177.50
There needs to be a minimum of five candidates enrolled in order for each course to start.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements but candidates should have the literacy skills to write at a Level 2 standard.

- Understand Nutrition, Performance and Healthy Eating
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered online.
What will you need to bring with you?
There are no additional costs but, to access online sessions, you will need stable wifi and your own laptop.
How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed via worksheets and in-class tasks.

This qualification provides progression to a Level 2 Gym Instruction programme as well as to courses in other related areas such as Sports Massage.
