What will the apprentice be doing?
- You will work within our manufacturing operations team as a manufacturing apprentice
- Learning all areas of manufacture including the test of printed circuit boards and system assemblies
- Prepare, control and contribute to manufacturing operations
- Follow processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Lean Manufacturing Level 2 Standard qualification
- One day a week will be spent at Derby College
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Further Education or a Job in Manufacturing (SMS cannot guarantee jobs to apprentices)
- Progression to a level 3 qualification
