What will the apprentice be doing?

There is never an average week with us at TT Gillard! But your days will be made up of these tasks:

  • Engaging in the manufacture of high quality joinery items for Hotels, Offices, Museums & Private Residences.
  • Reading & working from CAD drawings.
  • The use of different kinds of woodworking machinery.
  • Interacting with the different departments within the company - CAD Office, machining department, spraying/finishing department etc.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Dependant of the apprentice, hopefully you would progress to full-time employment once the qualification has been completed.
  • Once qualified and having gained the relative amount of experience, there are different career pathways within the company.
  • Opportunities to specialise in different departments.
  • Opportunities to progress to factory based supervisory roles.
  • Opportunities to progress to office based roles including CAD, estimating and project management.
