This qualification is aimed at anyone working, or wishing to work, as a safety steward at live events, such as sporting or musical events.
The qualification also provides a mandatory component of the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Spectator Safety and meets the requirements laid out in the Football Licensing Authority's Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (known as the Green Guide), along with other related safety guides.

You are required to have Level 1 Maths and English or equivalent qualifications, plus good communication skills and a commitment to the role.

Because this is a competency-based qualification, the majority of evidence will be gathered through learner observation, products of work and questioning. However, for some units contained within the qualification, simulation is permitted.
There are no additional costs involved.
