Entry requirements

You should be aged 19+. There are no formal entry requirements for this experience.

Course Content

We aim to provide you with new skills and the time to practise  techniques to master your pottery skills.

Over the day you will learn:

• How to prepare clay
• How to effectively centre clay on the wheel
• Wedging techniques
• How to throw a basic bowl and cylinder
• Next steps - dependent on your individual skill set

How will I be assessed?

There are no assessment criteria - just observe, have a go and enjoy!

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

To ensure we can offer all our learners the best experience, numbers on this course have been capped at a maximum of six learners.

We have three wheels available so learners will be split into two groups. Each group will equally share their time on the wheels.

Our prices are inclusive of materials and the firing in the kiln.

All completed work will be fired at a later date. Once fired, we will arrange a date with you to come and collect your pieces.
