Course Summary

This is a social and creative short course for beginners who want to learn the art of ceramics. 

Working at your own pace, you will receive a comprehensive overview in throwing, coiling and hand-building techniques, as well as learning about aesthetic considerations while you pursue self-determined projects. 

Each complete piece will be fired and glazed, ready for you to take away with you.

Entry requirements

All adults are welcome, ladies and gents, aged 19+.

There are no formal entry requirements and you need no prior experience.

Course Content

Over the four weeks, you will be guided and supported by our dedicated expert facilitator, who will inspire you to create your very own stoneware ceramic pieces using either hand-building, sculpture or throwing techniques.


How will I be assessed?

There are no assessment criteria - just observe, have a go and enjoy!

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

All material costs for the clay, glazes and firing are included in the fee.
