Course Summary

This is a social and creative course designed for returning amateurs, developing potters and keen throwers who want to progress in ceramics.

Our expert will demonstrate a series of techniques and provide specialist tips on how you can master your pottery skills.

Entry requirements

All adults are welcome, ladies and gents, aged 19+.

Learners should have some previous experience in ceramics making.

Course Content

Over the eight weeks, you will gain a comprehensive overview of throwing, coiling, slab building and glazing techniques to make a variety of objects such as bowls, boxes, cylinders, jugs etc. You will also learn about aesthetic considerations while you pursue self-determined projects.


How will I be assessed?

There are no assessment criteria - just observe, have a go and enjoy!

Our prices are inclusive of materials and the firing in the kiln.

What can I do after this course?

Specialist pottery courses in glazing and throwing will be offered throughout the year.  Please enquire for further information.
