Course Summary

Join us for a hands-on day of essential baking, ideal for those wishing to learn the fundamentals of both sweet and savoury baking.

You will make and take home a selection of baked items that will give you the inspiration and confidence to bake at home.


 

Entry requirements

You need to be aged 19+ but there are no formal entry requirements for this experience.

 

Course Content

In-time demonstrations will be provided throughout the day where you will be shown a variety of baking techniques from kneading and shaping bread to pastry making and blind baking.

You will bake a selection of delightful treats ready to take home with you:

• Savoury bloomer
• Layered sponge cake
• Savoury quiche
• Selection of biscuits
 

How will I be assessed?

There are no assessment criteria - just observe, have a go and enjoy!

Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?

All equipment and ingredients will be provided and are included in the sum you have paid.

Please note: the kitchen we use is not a closed nut or gluten free environment.  As such, the equipment used cannot be guaranteed to be gluten, dairy or nut free. There will also be nuts used within some of the recipes on these courses. You can contact us for further information.
